Oil concentration, skin chemistry and humidity all pull in different directions. What 18–24% really buys you on a Dubai afternoon.
Concentration is the number everyone quotes and the number that explains the least. An eau de parfum sits around 15% aromatic oil; our parfum intense blends run to 24%. That difference is real, but it sets the ceiling — it does not set what you get.
Skin does. Drier skin holds less oil and burns through a composition faster, which is why the same bottle can last nine hours on one person and four on another. Applying to moisturised skin is the single most effective fix, and it costs nothing.
Humidity works in your favour here. Gulf air keeps molecules moving off the skin and into the space around you, so a fragrance that felt quiet in a dry European winter will project noticeably harder on a Dubai afternoon — often more than you intended.
Heat cuts the other way. Above roughly 35°C the top and heart notes accelerate away, so a citrus opening you loved indoors may simply not be there once you have crossed a car park.
A fair expectation for a 20%+ blend on moisturised skin, worn indoors, is six to eight hours with the base still legible. Anything advertised well beyond that is usually measuring the fabric, not the wearer.
